Introduction to Transoesophageal Echocardiography

12th & 13th November 2015

This two day course is aimed at trainees in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Anaesthesia & ITU as well as Echocardiographers to acquire basic knowledge in TOE, to have hands-on training on simulators and to have exposure to case studies on dedicated workstations.

  • Designed for beginners or operators with limited experience, but will also act as a refresher for more experienced Echocardiographers
  • Cover all the indications and applications of TOE
  • Discusses the use of 3D TOE
  • Includes workstation with 3DQ software run by the Phillips applications team
  • 2 mornings of lectures and 2 afternoons of hands-on training on TOE simulators and on dedicated workstations
  • Exposure to and analysis of several case studies

Introduction to Transthoracic Echocardiography: 15th & 16th May 2015

Aimed at anyone starting in Echocardiography, or wanting to have the opportunity to acquire valuable theoretically and practical experience in Echocardiography.

It will provide all delegates with:

  • Understanding of cardiac anatomy
  • Physics behind the imaging
  • Image acquisition
  • Control of the Echocardiography machine
  • Eight sessions of practical sessions with patients and healthy volunteers (maximum of four delegates to each station).
