ACTA/BSE Transoesophageal Examination

Registration is now open for the ACTA/BSE Transoesophageal Accreditation examination which will take place in Sheffield on Wednesday 12th November.

Critical Care Examiantion

Registration is now open for the BSE/ICS Critical Care examination which will take place in London on Wednesday 26th November.

Examination Time: 14.00- 17.00


Registration will close as soon as we reach capacity at the venue. After this time a waiting list will be available in case of cancellations. The fee to register for the exams is £150.00, however, candidates who are re-sitting the exam after an unsuccessful attempt in November 2013 are eligible for a reduced fee of £75.00 by selecting the relevant resit option.

BSE Proficiency Accreditation is available only to BSE members. You must be a current member at the time of registration and maintain your membership during the Accreditation process. Anyone wishing to obtain Accreditation who is not already a member must first join the Society by registering online.  The current annual subscription fee is £60.00.

Exam places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, regardless of how long you have been a member of the BSE.

Echo in Africa

Echo in Africa is an humanitarian project in Cape Town, South Africa in collaboration with Stellanbosch University (Tygerberg Hospital) SUNheart and the BSE.


Why join the BSE ?

Membership of the British Society of Echocardiography gives access to a wealth of educational material including the members journal ECHO. As a member you will be entitled to vote in council elections at the AGM. But more than that you will have a voice in an organisation that represents solely the interests of echocardiography and those working in the field. Membership is £60 per year (1st April – 31st March) for members in the UK, ROI and Channel Islands and/or £60 every 3 years for other members.
