In order to build up this catalogue of descriptions we would be grateful if you would forward your own Job Description if it has been accepted. All personal details and any details identifying the Trust will be removed before publication. The following Job Descriptions are intended for use as guidance documents only and the grades listed with these Job Descriptions are not guaranteed. You may wish to review individual Job Descriptions to find one that best suits your current role and note the grade it achieved under the Agenda For Change rules. These Job Descriptions have been agreed by the NHS Trust concerned and unless stated otherwise the noted grade has been accepted by the member of staff. If you are unsure of the A4C job matching process you can log into the Department of Health website www.dh.gov.uk and enter "Job Evaluation Handbook" in the Search field. Section 2, starting on page 8, details the 16 job profile points against which you will have been scored. You can examine your own score against the possible 16 factors to see if you have been fairly judged. If you appeal you will need to suggest which level you feel you should have attained, and provide evidence to back this up. It has been noted that in some hospitals, job profiles within the correct job family have not been used. Clinical Physiology falls into the HSS family and NOT AHP which are the fully state registered professions such as radiography. If you are banded using an AHP profile you can issue a grievance that the process has not been correctly applied to your post. For information on appealing your grade please refer to the AMICUS guidelines published on this website and in the September 2005 edition of ECHO. Chief Cardiac Physiologist - this MTO4 post received Band 7 Principle Echocardiographer - this MTO5 post recevied Band 8a Clinical Lead Technician - this MTO4 post recevied Band 7 Specialist Cardiac Technician in Echocardiography - this MTO4 post recieved Band 7 |
