What times will the conference be open?
- Friday 16 October 2026: 08:00 – 18:30
- Saturday 17 October 2026: 08:15 - 17:00
What time is registration?
Registration will open at 08:00 on Friday 16 October 2026. We recommend arriving with plenty of time to spare before the first session at 08:45 - we're often busy on the first morning of conference and you'll be able to grab a tea or coffee in the exhibition hall before the session starts.
Registration will open at 08:15 on Saturday 11 October 2026.
Will my information be passed to anyone else?
If you allow an exhibitor to scan your badge, they will be given access to your name, job title, organisation and email address.
To apply for study leave I need a Microsoft Word version of the programme. How can I get this?

When will the Annual General Meeting take place?
This year the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will form part of the main programme and will take place at 13:30 on Saturday 17 October 2026 in the Exchange Auditorium. All BSE members are invited to attend.
When will the Honorary Fellowship, Fellowship and Lifetime Achievement awards be presented?
More information about the awards will be available in due course.

There will be space to store luggage on site. Please note that all bags must be searched on entry in accordance with security measures.
Are there any social events this year as part of the conference?
There will be a drinks reception held at 17:30 on Friday 16 October 2026 in the exhibition hall.
There will be a conference dinner held at 19:30 on Friday 16 October 2026 at the conference venue. More information will be available soon.
