How many BSE points will I get for attending the conference?

Each day is now worth up to 6 BSE category I points, for a maximum of 12 for attendance at the full conference.

You can only accrue BSE points between Friday 16 October – Sunday 15 November 2026 and points will be awarded based on tracked attendance of sessions.

How has this changed from previous years?

This year, we have increased the maximum amount of BSE points available from 10 points to 12 points.

This change brings the BSE points allocation into line with other CPD providers such as the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) as well as aligning more closely with the hours of content accessed.

Points will be capped at 6 points per day, however additional content accessed on demand will also count towards this cap.

How is my attendance tracked?

When attending in person, you will be required to have your badge scanned on entry to each session.

When attending on demand, our system will track what you have watched. There is also a button on each page to confirm your attendance, as a failsafe.

What if I attend the face-to-face event and then re-watch it online?

BSE points are capped at a maximum of 12 for attendance at the full conference, however you access the content. If you have not attended enough sessions at the face-to-face event to collect 12 points, you can supplement this by viewing additional sessions online within the specified timeline.

I don't collect BSE points - what are my options?

Each day is worth 6 hours of echo lectures towards EACVI recertification.

We're applying for accreditation from a number of bodies within the UK and globally, and we hope to gain recognition of the high-quality education we're providing.

When will I get my certificate?

After the platform closes on Sunday 15 November 2026, we have to analyse the data to confirm who attended and then upload it to our system. This takes approximately 2-4 days.

We aim to send certificates in the week commencing Monday 23 November 2026.

Why won’t I get my certificate until after the on-demand platform closes?

Many delegates attend in person and then access the on-demand platform to view further sessions. For both system and staffing reasons, we need to allocate all points and send certificates at one time, after the on-demand platform closes.

What types of content will be available for the on-demand part of the conference?

You'll be able to access the recordings of the two lecture streams on-demand.

Workshops and other face-to-face events will not be recorded.

View the programme

How long will I have access on demand?

The recordings will be added to the platform as soon as possible with the aim of having them available by Wednesday 21 October 2026 and will then be available until Sunday 15 November 2026. During this time, you'll be able to obtain BSE points for watching the sessions.

After the on-demand period closes on Sunday 15 November 2026, members will be able to access the presentations on our website without accruing BSE points.

Can I watch the sessions live?

No, you can't - they will only be available on demand.

What do I need to access the content?

All you will need is your computer and a stable and reliable internet connection.

Please note that we cannot guarantee access from NHS devices due to individual organisational firewalls over which we have no control.

Will I be able to watch on a mobile device?

The conference platform is fully mobile responsive, however as you're watching presentations with detailed slides, you'll get the best experience on a larger screen.

Can we watch as a group?

It is possible to watch the presentations as a group, and we recognise the additional learning opportunities that this will provide, especially if watching as a department.

Please be aware that points can only be awarded to individuals who are logged into the session. Therefore, for registered delegates viewing the sessions as part of a group, please note that a separate login will be required to receive points for sessions attended. This can be done at a later time by logging into the sessions and accessing the webpage for that session.

Why will my information be passed to Verdicotts?

Verdicotts are supplying us with their services to run our virtual conference platform. Only the relevant information will be passed to them and this will be done in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
