As we prepare for BSEcho 2026, we are excited to invite session proposals that inspire, educate, and engage our echocardiography community. Whether you’re an experienced echocardiographer or earlier in your career, this is your opportunity to contribute to one of the leading conferences in the field.
We are inviting session proposals to help us design a conference that reflects the interests and needs of you and your colleagues. All members are welcome to submit a session for consideration.
By submitting a session, you’ll have the chance to shape the conference experience and help advance the field of echocardiography. You’ll also engage with peers from across the UK and beyond, contributing to critical discussions that can influence the future of echocardiographic practice.
We are accepting submissions for the following 90-minute session formats:
Lecture session
The standard conference session format – suggest up to five speakers to present on a topic of your choice. The session should have an overarching theme and include time for questions as well as the lectures.
Panel discussion with cases
Bring together a group of experts to discuss recent advances, challenges, or controversies in echocardiography, supported by case presentations.
Debate
Suggest individuals or teams who will argue opposing sides of a current echocardiography issue – and don’t forget to leave time for rebuttals and voting.
Other considerations
As a multi-disciplinary organisation, we strive to represent our members in as many ways as possible during the conference. This means that we aim to have a mix of clinical roles represented, as well as more traditional equality and diversity considerations. Please ensure that your session meets this requirement.
How to submit
We have put together three session templates based on the formats above:
All submissions should be made through SurveyMonkey by Friday 28 November 2025 and we encourage early submissions. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
Join us in making BSEcho 2026 a landmark event for the echocardiography community. We look forward to receiving your innovative proposals!
