Membership resources committee applications open

Published 08/09/2022

ECHO departments across the UK and internationally are facing tough challenges. We are inviting British Society of Echocardiography members to take up the opportunity to apply for vacancies to join our Membership Resources Committee to increase support for all echocardiographers.

The Membership Resources Committee (formerly the Communications Committee) aims to provide members with the information, knowledge, and examples of best practice they need to deliver the best echo services possible.

To help us further in our aims, we need to recruit new members to join the Membership Resources Committee during this challenging time. We recognise the pressures that the echo services are under, resulting in putting many plans aside such as an essential business case or researching the latest evidence, so the need to continue to share our expertise and assets to support each other to innovate, develop and, in many cases, simply maintain services, is paramount.

Whilst our ECHO journal and website are uniquely placed to provide a hub of resources for you, we now wish to build a comprehensive collection of templates, tools, and resources to save you time.

So are you passionate about developing echo teams and services? Do you have resources you would like to share which could help other teams? Are you interested in joining our committee to help us prioritise and collate and disseminate the information?

The Membership Resources Committee continues to meet 4 times a year either face to face or virtually and committee members will be asked to lead on projects, submit resources, commission, and write for the ECHO Journal and will need to meet agreed timescales and so time will need to be allocated to enable you to meet these deadlines on projects.

If this grabs your attention and the upholding of our organisational values in your echo work is of utmost importance to you, please apply by completing the Expression of Interest form and sending it to [email protected].

Full membership of the Society is required. The closing date for submission is Sunday 27 November 2022.

We look forward to receiving your application!
