#MyBSEcho2023 | A wonderful opportunity to share ideas and learning

Published 02/08/2023

Ms Harriet Walters, Clinical Educator at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, shares her thoughts in the run-up to BSEcho 2023.

I have always loved training, whether it be producing and delivering lectures for my department, or providing face to face hands-on echo training, there is no better feeling than seeing the cogs turn and lightbulbs switch on when your trainees’ finally get it!

For me, BSEcho is about soaking up all that invaluable knowledge from echo experts about current best practice. I learn something new with every presentation and always come away with renewed vigour to improve on my own standard of practice.

My passion for training and keen interest in emergency echo has led me to my current position as a clinical educator and trust lead for focussed cardiac ultrasound training (FUSIC Heart). I am so excited for a full day of emergency and intensivist echo at BSEcho 2023 and am delighted to have been asked to present an emergency echo case. I can’t wait to learn from the vastly experienced and talented speakers such as Martin Stout and Claire Colebourn and look forward to sharing my ideas on the same stage!
