Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in EchoCalc for Android.

The British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) collects no personal information using our applications.

We do not collect, use, save, or have access to any of your personal data in EchoCalc for Android.

Crash reports

EchoCalc for Android uses the standard Google Crashlytics toolkit to monitor and report crashes (bugs) within the app. After a crash, the next time you open the app, it will automatically send crash data to Google, which will provide the developer with information that can help improve the app.

Along with internal app statistics, the following data is also sent: Phone make/model, OS version, memory & disk space and the date/time of the crash.

Crashlytics is used by many popular apps such as Spotify, Twitter & Amazon.

If you send a donation to the BSE using the app, the donation value is stored within the app. This functionality works irrespective of acceptance of the Privacy Policy as removal would make it appear that your donation had not gone through.

Echocalc does not store any other personal information about the user, nor does it collect patient data.

If you agree that helping improve apps is good, please accept the Privacy Policy. If you disagree, the app will still function but any bugs you find may not get fixed.

If you use the app option to "email a bug" or other idea, this will open your default email app to send a message to the developers. The email text contains information about the phone and app, which you can edit. We will not use this email address for anything other than replying to your queries and reports. This will work irrespective of your acceptance of our Privacy Policy as you are in full control over who you email.

You may later alter your consent to our Privacy Policy in the settings.

Our applications comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

Our applications don’t collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
