New right heart eLearning module launched

Published 05/09/2022

The British Society of Echocardiography is delighted to announce the launch of a new eLearning module on the right heart.

Our Education Committee have worked hard to create a robust, educational learning experience that will cover assessment of the right heart and allow you to test your knowledge. Particular thanks go to Ms Katherine Collins and the team for their work on this module.

Ms Jo Sopala, Chief Executive, said "We recognise the value of our eLearning resources to our members, particularly at a time when study leave can be hard to come by. We have therefore been focusing over the last few months on providing additional opportunities for our members and the wider echocardiography community. I am delighted that we are able to publish this latest module so quickly on the heels of the normal reference intervals eLearning module."

Dr David Oxborough, Co-Chair-Elect for the Education Committee, said "The BSE guideline for the assessment of the right heart has very quickly become a fundamental resource in our assessment of patients with and without disease. The new eLearning module Assessment of the right heart in adults is aimed at providing a clear presentation of these guidelines and highlights the standards and interpretation required for proficient application. I encourage anyone who is practicing echocardiography to consider utilising this fantastic resource."

Members of the British Society of Echocardiography can access the module at a discounted rate.

As ever, learner feedback is greatly appreciated. If you do have any comments, please feel free to contact Hatty at [email protected].
