All BSE memberships run on a calendar year from 1 April to 31 March. Memberships are not pro-rated. Any membership purchased outside of 1 April will be due for renewal the following 1 April. 

Standard: £107 

Our standard membership is open to anyone working in or with an interest in echocardiography, including non-clinicians. All members are eligible for standard membership unless they fall into one of the special membership categories below.

Pre-accreditation: £76 

Pre-accreditation membership is a reduced fee which is intended to support those who are actively putting themselves through the accreditation process.

Upon accreditation, the standard membership fee will be applied at the next date of renewal.

International: £56

International Membership is open to anyone with an interest in echocardiography who lives outside of the UK and Ireland. 

 Please note that international membership is not applicable if you wish to actively put yourself through the accreditation process.  You should apply for pre-accreditation membership.  Upon accreditation, the standard membership fee will be applied at the next date of renewal

Retired: £35 

Retired membership is for those who are no longer practising and do not need to retain their accreditation, but who wish to keep in touch with the organisation. Retired membership is not suitable for those undertaking locum or bank work post-retirement.

Fellowship: £159

 Fellowship is for those who have applied and been accepted as Fellows of the British Society of Echocardiography.

BCS Affiliate Membership 

The British Cardiovascular Society are delighted to offer BSE members a new joint membership, available to any member of an affiliated society. 

Offering a variety of benefits including access to educational resources; meetings and events; courses and training; publications; and networking, the BCS ‘Joint’ Membership is open to members of the BSE who are not a consultant cardiologist and who hold current BSE membership.
