A one-day live-case workshop looking at stress echo with DSE and MCE for the assessment of CAD

• Understand the physical properties of contrast ultrasound agents

• Appreciate the benefits of using contrast ultrasound agents in clinical practice

• Gain knowledge of the clinical role of stress echocardiography

• Gain insight into the assessment of myocardial perfusion using contrast agents

• Develop a strategy for setting up a stress/contrast echo service

Cardiff Echocardiography Course

A systematic approach to performing and reporting echocardiography.

This course is designed to teach a systematic approach to performing transthoracic echocardiography and provide a detailed framework to comprehensive echo reporting. Each topic is divided into Basic and Advanced sections. Delegates will revise and build upon a basic knowledge of clinical echocardiography and progress to an advanced level. Particularly in the Advanced sections, subject matter is illustrated using brief Case Studies.

 

This course is aimed at Echocardiographers, Physiologists, Cardiologists and Physicians who wish to progress from a basic to advanced level.

It is ideal for:

• Those with basic skills and experience, seeking to improve their knowledge inpreparation for the BSE or EAE examinations

• Core Cardiology Trainees (ST3-5) who need a structured approach to put theoryinto practice

• Experienced/BSE accredited echocardiographers aiming to refresh and updatetheir knowledge and advance to expert level

• Trainee Cardiologists commencing Higher Specialist Training inEchocardiography (ST6-7)

• Consultants seeking CPD towards revalidation inCardiology/Echocardiography
